A week ago today,Salisbury Hall. Got a few pics, but first time out with new cam,and not quite sure how to drive it yet,so very amateur to say the least. Asked a chap(volunteer guide type) what it would cost to climb into and sit in a mossie(was prepared to go to £100ish),he wasn't too keen, but said if I contacted them ahead,I might be able to arrange something. Unfortunately W4050 was in bits(literally),and there were perspex barriers on the other moosie, but I poked cam up through it on hd video and swung it around the cockpit a bit. Nice little spot, real old fashioned type museum,no touch screens and all that, but sat in and photographed a few cockpits, and could pick up and handle exhibits, etc. www.dehavillandmuseum.co.uk/history.html

Been trying to post a pic in another thread , but I've either forgotten how ( it has been awhile ) - or somethings playing up , so I'll give this a crack Edit -- Hmmmm That's the total incompatibility of ProBoards and the new Photobucket URL format.
If you were to post that image to a group hosted by SMF or Yuku or virtually any other messageboard forum hosting service, the image would display within a post. But not with ProBoards who have always been picky about image source URLs but which have really bad incompatibility problems with the new code being added to Photobucket-sourced images.
Get used to it.....in seven days time, Photobucket will compulsorarily move EVERYONE to the new format whether you like it or not, then it will be the end of many people being able to post photographs to this Photobucket-hosted group unless they move to hosting their images elsewhere.

I don't get what your problem is, I'm running the new format in Photobucket and I have not had any problems posting pictures. Maybe it's how your account is set up? IIRC there was a setting I changed..........somewhere. It did take me a while to get my pictures to go where I wanted when I upload them, instead of them being in a random place in the album, but it's all good now.

This is how to get the settings I have for my account................. - Top left next to your account name is a down arrow, click on it. - Click on "user settings" - Go to the "Albums" tab - Go down to links and un-check (un-tick) everything except "IMG code" - Save the new settings To post the picture into the forum.............. - Move your mouse pointer over the photo you want to post to the forum from your library/album. - A cog wheel will appear in the top right of the library thumbnail, hover your mouse pointer over it, do not click, a drop down menu will appear. - On the drop down menu click "Get links...." - A new small window will appear, go to the links tab. - There will only be one link, "IMG code (for forums, boards)" - Left click on the code ![]() blah blah etc etc [/IMG] and it will turn yellow and say "copied". - Return to the forum and the message you are composing and right click and paste, the IMG code will now be in your post. - Use the preview button and you should see your photo in your post. How to avoid your uploads being scattered randomly throughout your library............. - Top left next to your account name is a down arrow, click on it. - Click on "user settings" - Go to the "Albums" tab - The first setting is "Thumbnail Settings" - Using the drop down menu select "Newest First". - Check (tick) "Sort all existing albums the same way". - Save the new settings. Your library/album will now be in chronological (upload) order with your latest upload being at the top. I hope this helps.

It still doesn't change the fact that I have always had problems with some images displaying at ProBoards-hosted groups (not just this one, but ALL groups hosted by ProBoards), yet the images which refuse to display in messages at ProBoards groups display perfectly in groups hosted by other hosting services. Which tells me that the problem is with the way ProBoards have things set up. I have communicated with them several times about it, but they have never solved the issue. So I've basically just accepted that there is a flaw with their system that is incompatible with certain filenames in combination with the Photobucket URLs. It has got a lot worse since Photobucket started inserting additional code onto the end of their image URLs. Which explains why a lot of my photographs that get posted at other groups never get posted here. I always test post them first at a ProBoards group I keep specifically for checking things like that, and if they won't display, then I don't bother to post them here.

All the image URLs that I get from Photobucket have the same format......... (IMG] img.photobucket.com/albums/v668/ my album name / photo name .jpg[/IMG] Am I missing something here?

My account has sometimes added about 8 numbers/letters at the end of the image name, no idea why. But it still works fine. And Photobucket have already switched it to their new version which is a pain but I'm getting used to it.

Can't say I've had any issues at all with posting pics here using Photobucket in the 'new' format.

If I create a new album and try to link photos to here using IMG sometimes they fail to show, but if I use an existing album it works! Yes and I see the extra numbers and letters too.
