Hi all Just finished one of my two Christmas presents... Nice easy build of an old 1973 molding Airfix 1/72 Bird Dog. Built it out of the box as I do with most of my models. Only one MAJOR issue. The Airfix supplied decals disintegrated in the water. The decals on the model are thus not representative of any aircraft. I could have e-mailed Airfix for replacement decals but the time and hassle of doing it for such a small and cheap model was just not worth it, so I raided my decal leftovers... Nevertheless still a fun build. While I had the camera out I took a pic of my Lyzzie with the Bird Dog… both were sort of Army co-op/FAC aircraft…. Interesting to note the size difference between the two aircraft! Still working on the Puma.... have finished the cocpit area... done most of the canopy masking... yeughhhhh... and should get into some final construction soon.... but first have a week with the family in the northern part of the South Island next week... Never been there so looking forward to it. Hope to get some video and pics of Al's Bristol Freighter. And last but no means least I have just about finished my Deuce and a Half... but as the cam was out thought I would get a just about finished photo of it!

It came out well Marcus, nice work dude. The Lysander is a monster next to the Bird Dog.

Nice work. That brings back some memories as the Airfix Bird Dog was one of the first models I ever made.
