Really hard to come up with something original to say, since every time you post new photos I feel the bar has been raised even higher! I will say, I love the shot of the Camel, the light catching the prop looks rather nice, and the last photo is a real classic too.

Nice to see Rozinante out and about Gav! What are the chances of their P-51 joining them here, do you think? And also fantastic to see Ilse up at last! Looks good as new - well done Jay and co! As for Rob Mackley's Stearman....wow. I still remember her with no fabric *wistful tear in the eye*. She passed through on her way north a little way back, was great to see (and hear!) her completed in the flesh. Great shots as always! Looking forward to a bumper year of shots from you...no pressure of course Hopefully catch up with you at Hood on March 14!

Does that US T6 fly very much? I remember reading about it being imported into the country a few years ago, but have not seen any pictures of it. It is neat seeing a different colour scheme on a T6

Hi Gavin, I´m not a photographer myself, but have a friend who is. Just out of interest, what kind of shutter speed were you useing to get these shots? Do you have a gyro stabalized camera? What was the aircraft used as photoship?

sorry, missed your post. Most photos were taken at 1/200 and the Bristol Fighter was a bit harder due to its propellor gearing system but still really happy with that photo.
The photoships were either a Nanchang or Cessna 172. The photo were taken hand held with no gyros etc.

Hey Gavin. May I ask why the propeller gearing system on the Brisfit makes the photo harder to capture?

Hi Jo, From what I was told there is a gearing mechanism in the engine or prop section that can cause a momentary change in prop speed while the gearing changes. The prop did look a bit more like a blade when compared to the other propellors but that might not have been the reason why. Here are a couple of photos from the flying camp.

I see, thanks. The Bristol Fighter photo above came out really well. Nice photos from the ATC course too.

What are the names of all the pilots who took part in instructing that course? I think they should get some recognition for giving up their time. Good on them.

Hi Dave, Not sure who all of the instructors on the course were but the guys in this photo are, Hayden Leech (C Cat) Scotty Corlett (B Cat) and Adam Eltham (B Cat) I flew with Adam while on my trip to Armore in Andrews Citabria and we had a good old laugh along the way.

If you didn't have a laugh at anytime with Adam, there'd be something wrong with you! Top bloke. this was Adam's 7th consecutive time on the course as an instructor.
Scotty is a National Aviation Course product from way back. He's done the course as a student twice, cadet staff, ground instructor and twice as a flight instructor.
Hayden is FoB C-Cat having done his test just days before the course. He hadn't even recieved his licence back when he arrived. This was his first time involved with ATC and did a great job running the ground course.

Craig, that 'real' aeroplane is inverted, surely.

Nice shot of the USAF "Texan", it would be nice to see a formation with this and the Commemerative Air Force's Harvard and Beech 18 someday. Though I dont think either are flying right now.
