Hi all I know it is not an aircraft but thought I would share it with the forum nonetheless. (It does have an aviation link as I built it.... heh, heh, heh... and I am an aviation nut.... ;D ) Here is my Airfix 1/72 (1/76?) GMC Truck. I have finished in a very basic configuration. No benches in the back, no roof no ¡§extra¡¦s. I intend placing her in a diorama where she will be doing what she does best: Conveying all kinds of army stores and equipment. I will be adding fuel drums, bicycles¡¦ ammo boxes etc. The model was a pleasure to build and at $8,90 very good value for money. The moldings are nice and crisp with hardly any flash. The parts fit nicely and the finished model ¡§looks right¡¨ I never measure my models to verify the scale. I build for the fun and enjoyment of it! She does not have a driver behind the wheel as I stupidly glued in the steering wheel before adding the driver (Pvt Snooks for those wanting to know his name) Unfortunately Snooks is a tad stiff (Better not say he is hard ƒº) and he can not fit in ¡§under¡¨ the steering wheel. Fortunately he did not miss out on the photo call and you can meet him in one of the pics! The model represents a vehicle that formed part of the ¡§Red Ball Express¡¨ in post D-Day France.

Nice truck. Poor old Private Snooks, he hasn't taken his salt tablets.
