Colin that's Kev P with the RNZAF flag which is stowed for the jump in that black pouch around his stomach ...... quite heavy it is too.

Way to go folks with all these awesome photos!!
Makes you realise just how Damned proud and I mean Damned proud, we are of our Air Force ;D ;D
Just a query, I noted one of the P 3's was a little paint wary, did anyone see at least one of the C 130's paint looking more like faded blue grey rather than dark grey??
Of the Yak photos, my son Rhys when I made mention of the flying Yaks he asked how is it possible for a Yak to fly (as in the animal) I laughed so hard, if you could imagine those great big animals (flying helmet/scarves/googles) cramped into a tiny little aircarft throwing it about in the air!!
Wish I was an artist/cartoonist ;D

I noticed that all nine airtrainers in the nine-ship formation had red checker cowls. A nice touch. I wonder what that team is called, the Red Sparrows?

Not sure if you've all seen this, it's the story on the USAF news site: C-17 arrives in New Zealand[/b][/url] You can post a comment if you want to thank them. PS: Oops, I've just noticed the link has already been posted on another thread. Never mind.

And yet another video, this time the RNZAF (no music-free version yet) .....
Only 3 more to go by my calculations.
Cheers, Stu.
p.s. just to reiterate my previous comment in lieu of the new photos posted since, great shots everyone.

And another batch, some of the static The open for inspection B757 The not open for inspection FA/18 Moody shot of the RAAF C-130J with one of ours behind in the morning light 'Combat Dolphin' nose art on the C-130J Whoever came up with this idea needs a positive endorsement. A line of empty tents to let people get out of the sun, one of the smartest things I have seen at an airshow in a while 'Thunderbird 8' belonging to the Air Movements section I think Yak tails with a solitary Albatross Repositioning the static Hornet at the end of the day C-17 detail C-130J and C-17 The target tow Learjet Australian Customs Q300 The well weathered CN-235 Andover NZ7624 looking rather forlorn at the edge of the hardstand on the way back to the carpark I'm presuming this nose art went on when the aircraft was retired in 1998 Seasprite shell (F model?) next to the Andover Beside the shipping history, faded paint reveals the previous operator details

That tent idea is indeed a great innovation.
I really love how weathered and beat up that CN-235 looks, just as any Pacific operational aircraft should.
I like that C-130J nose art, that's classic. The Andover is a sad sight to see but at least it's sister ship at Wigram is well looked after, and maybe one day this one will be restored when people realise how valuable and important they were, and how rare they now are. As for the Sprite's paint fading, that's awesome, just like the Rukuhia dump aircaft which all eventually revealed their US pedigree.
