Looks like a giant Mirage! ;D
Seriously though, great work there - the Hustler sure was an amazing plane. I can imagine how loud it would have been with the four J-79s at full noise.

Very nice model Sam, the paint work is great, love the burneshed metal effect you've achieved underneath.

Awesome model of an Awesome aircraft! The smoke stains behind the engines are mandatory on these beasts! Bare metal finishes are surprisingly complex arent they - how many shades of silver required ?(I'd guess about 8....?)

very Nice ;D ;D I have one in my stash to build, the Monogram 1/48 scale. Trying to build up the courage to build it one of these days, NMF (natural metal finish) is not one of those areas I have ventured in to yet Thanks for posting Alan

Thanks Craig, I know, I think of it as an F-4 under each wing, or 2 F-104's, on an airframe not that much larger (although probably a bit heavier) than an F-111 Must have been a sight to see operating, thats for sure

You are close, there are seven metallic shades on the model in all, from burnt iron through to polished aluminium. And you are right in that bare metal is way more complicated than it first appears. Lot of lessons learned on this one! Thanks all for your compliments
