That looks great. The L-39 is one of the nicest Eastern European jets around, I reckon.

Great looking aircraft, ditto for the scenery. On the subject of scenery - can somebody please explain to this fumbling and frustrated Flight Sim user in small, simple words (so my small simple brain can cope) how to make the NZ scenery look something more than a flat, lifeless version of the Sahara? I've tried a few free scenery downloads - and got Whakatane and Rotorua airport working mainly through luck rather than good management but 99% of the rest of the country is rather bland and I love low level vfr. I had downloaded a mesh for FS2004 that helped but can't seem to find one for FSX, let alone the very nice Auckland city, NZAA, NZAR and NZNE I had in FS2004. Any sage suggestions welcomed but remember, I'm a complete moron when it comes to the intricacies of adding bits to flight sims. Cheers, Stu

Hi Stu The desert look in FSX is a real bu..er and cant be totally changed at this stage although Timmo (of this forum) is working on a payware solution. Best thing to do is to download some photoreal scenery that is availble at Avsim (some of it may not be aavailable due to the hacker that destroyed Avsim) The freeware mesh from Simflight Experience (RBE) 75m mesh isnt currently available anywhere for download at the moment.. You could buy the Simflight Experience 20m mesh or try this one (I havent tried as I have the 20m mesh) snowman.ozsimdev.com.au/index.php?ind=downloads&op=entry_view&iden=169For some extra scenery I suggest you download some photoreal scenery that exists for most of the Coromandel and parts of the South Island by searching "Corn" in the FSX section of Avsim scenery. An airport you dont have is Paraparaumu which is worth having ..you can download it here www.windowlight.co.nz/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=45:real-nz-paraparaumu&catid=14:godzone-freeware-scenery&Itemid=52Of course you could buy some of the Godzone scenery/airports (Tauranga, Wellington, Rotorua, Woodbourne, Koromiko, Omaka, Tekapo, Wanaka) to get bigger coverage. Tim Barnes (Timmo) also has made a Coromandel (which sit nicely in the photo real scenery) and Kaipara Flats strips and Springhill and Galatea is on the way..search Tims name at Avsim. There is no NZAA, NZAR and NZNE add on available for FSX at the moment but Robin Corn is working on a payware NZAA and NZAR package (as well as NZCH) which is probably someway off (NZCH will be out before this I believe). Let me know how you get on and if you have any issues let me know. Cheers

Its great to see the Wanaka scenery with a few more spectators! Must be a lot more satisfying displaying for them than the original handful!

Thanks for that Paul. Had a bit of a play around yesterday before work and managed to get some of the scenery up and running. I guess the trick is also fiddling around with scenery layers and adding and removing etc - something I'll have a fiddle with once I have more time. Cheers, Stu.
