Thanks guys. Them lights were on to keep me awake but didn't do much for the other sleepers! ;D UA 747 today was in new CS and had female Captain and First Officer at the controls. Well done too considering the wind today. Take off. First Qantas 734 in new CS too. Cheers

Colin, you better make the most of seeing all those business jets, as I reckon a few will be parked up with for sale signs on them in the next few months. ;D Yes I heard the 737 biz jet at AKL is gone already. My attempt at a night shot and them reflections are a problem? Cheers

I don't recall seeing those shots? I wonder if it is possible to get permission and have them posted here? They would be nice to see.
I hope we can get some DAK and PBY posed photos with a locomotive on the day?
Cheers

I was thrilled when Jessica asked if I would like to come along and take some informal photos of the DAK crew on Saturday last week end. A well presented bunch of professional pilots and crew around a very good looking Dc 3 we know as ZK-DAK. We are lucky here in Auckland to have such a dedicated group of people running a great aircraft for us enthusiasts young and old to enjoy. If any one that is reading this and has thought of going on one of the Dc 3 outings come on along and join this team for a fantastic day out, or flight over Auckland. Some pics maybe a little repetitious but please bare with me as they are added here for your enjoyment. Brooke Mackley, Tim Dennis, Andrew (Skippy) Hope, Jolon Marshall, Adrian Gilbert, Morris Craig, Chris Brown (Despatcher), Rebecca Gatenby (Despatcher), Lesley Brown, Kathy Atkins-Sando, Jessica Cooper, Geoff Cooper. The fine looking gentleman joining us later on is Eddie Doherty (CEO) Missing from the photos are Ron Thorne (Watching us with a busted achilles...)Alister Scott, Peter Tarr, Paul Munro, Kathy Haigh, and Anne Maree O'Leary. Many thanks to all the crew for the fantastic time I have had flying with them around parts of NZ. Colin

Fantastic, you are welcome to use our hangar as a base. Coffee will be on... Sounds like a good place for a forum meet up? I will be there lurking around with my pocket camera! ;D Gavin will be not far away too. Hope the weather cooperates. Cheers

I thought it was over the radio as wind sheer and I got a text later saying wind sheer? Might have been part of the exercise. A head on shot from the car park. At 1500 the sun came out nicely for the departure to Sydney. Cheers

Great photos Alex! Love the one of the A380 and Beech 1900! Nice shots too Stu considering your level of access. Yes it was quiet even when it did a go around for wind shear on approach. About the only one that is different to Alex(apart from ramp shots and Beech) is a tail comparison with an ANZ 747. Some others can be seen here: www.airplane-pictures.net/news.php?p=361Cheers
