I didn't know that the Checkers were going to be there. How was their display?
It's a pity they allowed these orange-jacketed people to wander into other people's shots... ;D

It's a pity they allowed these orange-jacketed people to wander into other people's shots... ;D The Checkers flying display was superb as always some pics later. Their after display was good too and caught by Kathy. Well done to all. Orange-jacketed people shots were deliberate to catch the airshow theme. ;D Cheers

Yip the old orange jacket brigade, and I look forward to orange trousers too but hopefully it never comes to that. Here is the view I got. It was good to catch up some other photographers there. The Checkers have gone through a lot of changes this year and the display was great and good to catch up with Macka again. Was a great flight Andrew, and a lot of fun flying with these two aircraft.

Awesome photos! It's nice to see these as I was unable to attend sadly. I'm glad the weather cleared up in time. Hey, where's that bloke's orange jacket in the last shot? And the take off of the team is almost as smokey as the Boeing 707 in another thread.

Nice pics Alex. Anyone get a video of the Red Checkers new routine? I took some pics but not great lighting. Two members climb and roll over then rejoin on the outside. Colin

That Harvard shot is stunning. the way it seems to be rearing up like a bucking horse. And the perfectly mown lawn behind makes the red and white colours stand out superbly.
The Trojan is also a lovely looking aeroplane for a trainer, and that's a very flattering photo of it. Nice job. I note there's a share for sale for this warbird on TradeMe.
