A few snaps from the event. Spent some time under a tree chatting to as local Kiwi, also over enjoying the English Summer.

Great shots Glenn. Love the "Balbo" shot of all the fighters. The Corsair stands out doesn't it!

Oh, my God, some of those German planes are wearing swastikas - quick, call the UN, the Police, the discrimination tribunal, the local newspapers!

Fantastic photos Glenn, the shot of the Spitfire formations crossing over stands out as interesting. But they're all good. Has Sally B's nose art always been like that or have they adapted it recently? It just seems a little different.

In the photo of the mass formation rear-view, what is the top-right most aircraft?
The P-51s, Spitfires, P40s and Corsair are very distinctive and I think I see a Wildcat in there... but what is that "slightly gull-winged" machine? A Grumman Hellcat perhaps?
BTW, fantastic images, Glenn!

And that's where I owe an Apology. I've accidently displayed some shots fom teh year before. which explains why they look like a Hellcat and a Wildcat. They didn't fly this year at all.

Ahh no problem Glenn we love the photos of these iconic aircraft in the air whenever they flew! yeah the Hellcat does have a slightly gull wing look. Very similar to the Avenger as both have fairly straight centre sections with the folding wing sections coming off at a slight upwards angle (dihedral). Baz
