Cheers guys, yeah looking forward to flying with Muddy again. January 2006 was the last time we flew together. He's a real good bugger to fly with - safe, efficient, practical and fun

That is great news Al. The 737 will be quite a change from your usual mount! We should have our next Chch forum meet at Pacific Simulators when they have one in a flyable state and you can take us all for a spin! What you say Mr Galbraith?

Yes a fine idea and look forward to hearing all about flying a 737! And now back to Fletchers! ;D I was thinking Zac maybe as well as listing what parts you need on here you should get something in Classic Wings, NZ Wings, etc. I'm sure there are people out there with parts large and small that would help. Plus one of the magazines might do an article describing the importance of your Fletcher.

BYC, from memory? I'm hoping someone here will have a photo, I think its a 300... Lol thanks Jon! It certainly won't be a quick blend and repaint effort. Thanks Craig, I'll do the best I can

I took this picture of ZK-BYC when it was picketed outside at Dairy Flat. It is now in the hangar beside the Oxford. It is a 300 but the engine is out of it at the moment.

Just to get the thread back on track Deane Baunton, designer of the very popular Fletchers for Microsoft Flight Simulator has backdated the 400hp model to accurately portray early 950s and 950Ms. One of the paint options available with this model - soon to be released - is James Aviation, so I asked Deane if he could modify it a bit for me and hey presto: cbgjal7901_34871143813_o by Zac Yates, on Flickr CBG will fly again! Sadly the project hasn't advanced at all since I left WAW, however I am still keen on any time-ex parts. The project is in need of under cover storage however a final display location may be in the offing. Stay tuned.

Most interesting info there hamacat! Anything more to add?
CBG is on the move! I have had airport staff contact me regards moving the airframe or setting up a payment scheme for storage, so my father has set about relocating the aircraft to secure, off-airport storage within Wanganui.
More as we hear it.

The Fletcher FU-24-950M (c/n87), formerly registered as ZK-CBG, will soon be moving to her new home...coincidentally, it's also the home of my parents! My dear Mum has agreed to the plan to relocate CBG to their driveway so that I may finally begin her restoration back to static condition.
It's not clear at this stage when exactly the move will take place but rest assured Dad will take photos and is out at the airport tomorrow to advise the manager of his plans.
"It's a go people!"

Good news Zac. Your Mum and Dad are very good to let you do this, but having met them I know they are great people and your Dad is very passionate about preserving history so hopefully this is a great step. Good luck with the Move. Maybe you should engage Baz's servces, he's experienced in moving old aircraft about the country. ;D

Something tells me Baz would be keen, there's just the small issue of being on separate islands ;-)
Once the aircraft is moved I will begin the hunt for parts.
I'm still keen to find more pictures if anyone has them and has not previously posted.
