Having been alongside when it was ground running at max power whilst they were tuning the electronics, it certainly isnt "nifty 50ish" that close up! however yes in flight it sounds a bit like that, perhaps with a slightly deeper tone. It actually sounds quite good (although I have a lot of positive comments how good the Subaru in CKE sounds too!

Yep, very close to that actually - except that is of course the inside sound, and the exhaust on the T51 is quite different (Doesnt have those hiccups at the beginning either!)
