Hi all Has anyone have a history on BNX which is currently based at Rangiora. I know it was a topdresser and did venison, but don't know where or when. Any photos would be great. Thanks ZK-BNX worked with Central Aviation Ltd., Roxburgh from new in mid-1957 until sold to D N Philpotts, Rangiora 8 Dec 1967. H A Smith, Christchurch was the owner from May 1968 - he might be the venison recovery guy.

I last saw BNX at Omaka on March 7 1975. It was tied down along with a companion which from memory was BKJ - they had been retired from venison and both were in need of major work, which obviously they were lucky enough to get!
I think at the time one or both were owned by the late Baden Gifford?

This thread has "wandered" a little bit, as they tend to. What's in your hangar pomadom9? BTC?

Strangely enough, I was thinking of launching this thread just a couple of days ago.... I reckon BTC was in the big old hangar perhaps as late as the early 90s - definitely there very late 80s, and as Peter says with quite a few bits missing. I don't recall whether the hopper was still fitted - think not. On a similar subject, what about Pawnee 150s BOQ ( advertised as a project in Wings a couple of years ago) and BOU? BTC did not have the hopper fitted while lurking at Tauranga. I have an idea it was removed either before or at the time BW Gordon purchased it. BOU has gotten turned into a "Skylux" by Gavin Grimmer at Hastings. BOQ was floating around the upper North Island through a couple of owners, and is now with a guy Palmerston North way that owns one of the other 150 hp Pawnees flying. And yes, I have heard that BTC is in pomadon9's hangar.

That brings up the next question - anyone seen BWS lately? Registered to a Levin address.
Cheers
