I may be FAR too late, but Calum I saw the "Hornchurch v Luftwaffe" decals came with all three Kiwis. Is there any chance you a) still have the decals for II or III and, 2) would you be willing to sell one of them?

Hi ZacYates,
I have decals in 1/48th scale for all the Kiwi aircraft but Kiwi 2. Kiwi I(N3180), Kiwi III (R6981) and X4236. I built Kiwi 2 and Brian Carbury Spitfire a few years ago.
Send me a PM if you are still interested?
Cheers
Blair

Yeah a ten year old thread of a wonderful model of a Spitfire which has inspired me.
With the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain upon us decided to do a repaint on my rc 1.1 metre Mk I Spitfire, really like the early black and white underside identification scheme as modelled above. Couldn't go past one of Al Deere's Kiwis, sadly the PB watermarks have made the picture a little hard to view.
Would be very grateful if those in the know would mind answering a couple of questions. Is the model above the first Kiwi that belly landed on a beach near Dunkirk? Pretty sure the underside paint has black and white wings with silver under the engine as well as the rear fusy and tail plane. From what I have found it seems the black and white underside had a few versions, hoping someone could verify that silver was used as well as black and white?
Thanks so much and great model Calum thanks for the inspiration............
