Wow, more beautiful photos, thanks very much indeed.
What the heck is the story with that Harvard though? Is it just playing in that scheme? Or is it based on something real?
I mean, the roundels are forward area operational roundels, not applied to trainers. And the white stripes were also operational markings to stop Yanks shooting our planes down. (Some P40's did fly in NZ as trainers with the stipes, and with red and white ones, but they had usualy returned from the front and I have never ever heard of a Harvard wearing them.)
It looks really cool though. Who's Harvard was it?? OMFC?
Which Yak 3 is that too? Is that the OMFC one currently at Wanaka now after thre rebuild? Or is it the Omaka one?
Also of great interest is the P40 in RNZAF scheme but wearing a US star. Some of ours actually did wear the star like that till 'proper' roundels could be added, but never NZ3009 of course. Any idea why the fuselage roundel is like that, whilst the wing carries the RNZAF roundel? Film work maybe?
I have never liked that Chinese scheme on the P40. I wish the new owner would return it to its RNZAF colours.
Thanks again, wonderful shots.

Hi Dave, sorry I have not put any notes on the original post hopefully this will help,
Pics 1 + 2 = Spitfire XV1, TB869/G-CDAN/ZK-XVI prior to completion and export to NZ.
Pics 3 =4= Harvard/Zero replica N15798, first pic is at North Weald in the original scheme it wore in UK, second pic is the scheme applied by the OFMC and still applied when exported to NZ as ZK-ZRO?
Pic 5 = Avro 504k replica G-ECKE/ZK-EHB at Duxford 16th July 1995.
Pics 6 + 7 = Spitfire Tr.9 ML407/G-LFIX in the markings of OU-V 485 squadron, NZ connection I believe.
Pics 8,9,10 + 11 = OFMC's P40E ZK-RMH in the UK from start to finish, I believe the stars were applied for a film.
Pics 12 + 13 are OFMC's Harvard, LN-AMY, sorry no definite info on paint scheme but I believe a certain amount of artistic licence was involved.
Pics 14 + 15 = first pic is OFMC's Yak11, N11SN, before it went to Russia for conversion to Yak3 configuration (second pic) UK reg was G-BWOE which is now in NZ where it has been completed and certificated as ZK-YYY.
I hope this is helpful.

Thanks for the details. I was in the know with most of them but thanks for clearing up the Yak situation.
I'd love to learn more about the Harvard, it's really cool. And as for the first Spitfire that wull be TB863, not TB869.
Cheers Dave
