What was Ditch doing in a Co-op machine? Or has TMM been absorbed into the Ravensdown/WAW fleet too ?

Ditch must be in his seventies? Must have flown for WAW for nearly 50 years?

Yes he started with WAW in 1957, so 53 years productive flying to date.
His brother John (Rangitikei Air Services which is under the WAW umbrella) started at the same time and is still flying in his early 70's as well. John must have 33,000 plus hours by now - I'd imagine one of the highest houred pilots in the country?
Richmond (Ditch) has a few less hours. I imagine he concentrated less on flying and more on managing in his latter years with WAW.

I have joined on here a couple of days ago..
I starting loading fletchers late 70's loading fletchers for James Aviation,and then in the early 80's i moved on to Wanganui Aero Work,based in King Country,loading fletchers and odd accasion loading'' Ditch'' with the agwagon and cresco..
After leaving Wanganui Aero Work LTD in the mid 80's..I starting working on another job,i went back loading part-time on weekends loading for Wanganui Aero Work and for Taumarunui Co op..for Paul Fenton..After a short break as a loader-driver,in 1995 i arrived back with Wanganui Aero Work..In 1998 i moved to Gisborne as a loader-driver for Farmers Air LTD for Andy Stevenson,loading Cresco's,and on accasional bases loading Mark Watson Cresco And Duncan Hart's 502 Airtractor ...Leaving Farmers Air LTD In 2003..I went back to Wanganui Aero Work.based in King Country, loading Cresco's.And again..loading "Ditch" in his 602 Airtractor....Leaving WAW in 2008 as a loader-driver.
P:S Just a short note..It is great to see'' Ditch'' still flying Cresco's.
It was a real priverlage to load "Ditch"..and such a real gentlemen.
Keep on flying "Ditch"..and safe Flying...

You are so right there..It does get in your blood.And it sticks to you aye.as i said to Dave B, Ive been out of the topdressing loading for 3 years,and it seems like yesterday i left..But one day i might get back into it again..I think i do better at loading than anything else of done..LOL...
I had heaps of photo's from way back, from the early days,but got lost in travels..And stories about my time..Well,i would bore you to sleep..LOL..
But i have recent cresco photo's ...soon as i can figure out how to get them on here..

Hi Hawkesbay yea took this photo on Thursday nite i was up your way 4 the week also stayed with Lockey 4 a nite on the way up. He showed me some video of yourself and Him working together in BHJ & DZC. Will be back up your way at easter will try and catch up cheers

When I left Wanganui Aero Work in January last year, ZK-LTS was a painted fuselage in a holding fixture.
