So many RNZAF deaths now that the cold weather has arrived. Sadly the very last of our WWII veterans among them, and most of them I had never heard of till i see their death notices. Makes me so sad, even though I never got the chance to meet them.

Peter's funeral is to be held Thursday 07 July 2022 at 1400 Classic Flyers Museum Tauranga Airport

Sorry to hear of Peter Mole's passing, I don't think I ever met him but saw plenty of his photos online.

WORTHINGTON, Henry David. Passed suddenly, 48 years young, on the 23rd June 2022 at home. Much loved husband and soulmate of Kirsten (nee Hendry), loved dad to Libby and Joshie. Son of David and Bobbi (dec) and step-son of Janette. Brother and brother-in-law to Lenny (dec), Charlotte, Morrise, Rachel, Alex, Donna, Shane, Sarah, and Richard. Henry was an aircraft engineer working for Air New Zealand and with his own aircraft maintenance business, operating in Otago and Southland, he will be very much missed by those in the aviation industry in the south.

Kenneth Alfred Hollay NZ4213613 RNZAF 1942 to 1945 Passed away at Claud Switzer Memorial Home, Kaitaia, on Monday 4 July 2022, age 98 years. Very special uncle of Ruth Wilson (Hollay) and great friend of Ken Castleton both of Te Awamutu. Good times were shared with Ken the many times we travelled to Kaitaia. Having lived in Kaitaia all his life Ken enjoyed his association with the Masonic and Manchester Lodges, RSA and KEV members, many years of travelling with the Northland caravan clubs, Grey Power, Age Concern, first Kaitaia member of the St John Ambulance Caring Caller service, Save our Hospital group, the seven mid-year Christmas meal outings followed by the seven Christmas dinner celebrations and all the other wonderful times enjoyed with the various Kaitaia community groups. Grateful thanks to his neighbour, Jen Rogers, her watchfulness saved his life on several occasions. Ken's time on the Kaitaia community clubs' involvement with Switzer Home when on its opening day he booked rooms for himself and his late wife, Gwen, for when their lives required total care! On behalf of Ken's five nieces and nephews, we sincerely thank Dr Kathy and all staff (both past and present) of Switzer Home for their care and consideration of Uncle Ken during the past five years.
