Teletext is reporting that a 47 year old hang glider pilot from Horowhenua has been killed in an accident while flying on the Kapiti coast. RIP

A man was found dead today after a hang glider crash in the Paekakariki Hill area.
The 47-year-old pilot was found near the top of the Paekakariki Hill about 2.45am, 300 metres east of a top dressing airstrip, Senior Sergeant Alasdair Macmillan said.
The Westpac Rescue helicopter started searching about 2am and an onboard paramedic confirmed the man was deceased about 3am.
The man was reported missing at 11pm yesterday.
