Hi, I'm living on the Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire border, in the UK. We have an old aerodrome, near Oakley-Worminghall, Buckinghamshire. Apparently, it has links to 75 Sqn RNZAF? Anyone with info on this aerodrome, and how it was used? Cheers. Dave Davies

I'm afraid i have not heard of Oakley-Worminghal, nor any connection with No. 75 (NZ)Squadron at all. All the wartime bases used by the squadron are listed on the 75 Squadron Association homepage here, and it's not mentioned www.geocities.com/rnzaf_75squadron/bases1939_1945.htmlPerhaps it's a tenuous link like one of their aircraft put down there damaged after a raid, or maybe crashed there? I;ve had a quick flick though Norman Franks' book 'Forever Strong' but seen no mention yet. I do know that Colin Hanson is writing a new book on the squadron, he may know something. And there's Red McCowatt of the Association who's a member of this forum. Here's his memebr profile from where you can send him a private message rnzaf.proboards43.com/index.cgi?action=viewprofile&user=redmccowatt
