Hi guys
From reading the late Des Scott's memoirs, it is apparent that he shot down a number of V-1 flying bombs while based in Holland in late 1944/early 1945. Does anyone have any details? Dates?
Cheers Brian

Welcome to the forum Brian.
I persoanlly do not have the facts to hand, but I would suggest Ian Brodie at the New Zealand Fight Pilots Museum may have more details. I know Des visited that museum on at least one occassion, he opening of the museum in 1993, because I met him there. A very nice chap he was too. I would hope that perhaps the museum have interviewed him like they have with other pilots, or got more details on his career at least.
I am currently going through several decades of back-issues of my collection of NZ Wings magazine so if I see anything in there about his V-1 kills I'll let you know.

Hi Dave
Thanks for the welcome and for your willingness to help if at all possible. Much appreciated.
I have been in touch with the RNZAF Museum etc but to no avail.
Fingers crossed
Brian

Hi Dave,
Thought I would just let you know that Paul Sortehaug has contacted me with the information that Des Scott's relevant logbook was lost in 1945 - and with it details of his V-1 claims (assuming they had been recorded). I will do my best to make amends in my forthcoming book. Thanks for your help.
Cheers Brian

That's a great shame. Would the RAF not have had seperate records of who shot down what too? I hope you find something.
Good luck.
