Nice work ykato. I always enjoy watching the Convair. This is ZK-CID (I think) looking a little sad at Palmerston North last weekend. Not the best of pics. Airports are getting hard with fencing everywhere.  CID has been in that state for a long time now. Rather sad. |

Did you see all the Cessna 152 and 172 parked up? Nah too busy trying to get a pic of as below as we sped past - apart from the fact the brain seems to switch off on the sight of a cessna - were you Refering to wings Flight training? by any chance.   Wings FT Cessna at right in this pic. |

There are a lot of them parked up opposite the Post building, or the fuel pump at the western end. Probably Wings yes, the school that has shut down.

I passed through Friday night about 11pm, then again north bound about Saturday 4am. Does the Air Freight Convair overnight there now? Don't recall seeing it on the second visit.

Re: The Convair, 11pm you say - if that's the case your Aircraft Has a Really Decent sound to at night V  the place we were staying at the aircraft inbound to PN Airport sounded like their right outside the window at night . |
