It is much better now isn't it Beags? So much food selection compared to what it was. I don't think there were any plans to reinstate any viewing platform. That has had its day.

yes very flash. we were there about 1pm and it felt almost like a ghost town, not too many people around. in the previous terminal, there was an upstairs area with lots of seating that had huge glass area to view the alps, and also there was a door you could go out and be on top of the domestic pier which was ok for taking photos but thats is about to be pulled down soon. hopefull the new domestic jet arrival phase which is about to start will have some nice area to relax with a stunning view.

They push the Dash 8's from the terminal building at CHC using a sort of tug.

Yeah. They taxi nose into the gate and get pushed back for start. It's quite a nifty little system.

yes, from watching it in action the whole NLG is lifted up on it somehow and manouvered around. Not sure if they use it for the ATR or not.

I'd say it is Dash 8/Q300 specific. The ATR is quite low to the ground, I'm not sure they could even get under the nose wheels.

It's replacement (D3200) is now out. Anyone thinking about getting a cheap DSLR, now is a good time. kenrockwell.com/nikon/d3200.htmAs of June 2012, this D3200 is brand new and not discounted. The fancier D5100 has been out longer so it sells for a little less, so if this is the case, by all means, get the D5100 instead. Avoid the awful old D3000 at any price, however the previous model D3100 is also a superb camera, and if you can find a new one at a low price, by all means, get the D3100 instead. 24 Megapixels is baloney; Nikon only added all the extra pixels to impress amateurs; no one needs any more than 3 to 6 megapixels for anything.
