I took one look at the new and switched back to the old format.
Have had no uploading or viewing issues. I just can't be bothered learning a new system.

There is an option on photobucket to switch back to the old view... somewhere! I found it but cant remember where it was... I rejected their new look and opted to switch back to the old view. However, before it would switch back, a dialogue box opened and they insisted I tell them what I didn't like about the new look and why I wanted to switch back. So I typed in the box that "the new look SUCKS" and left it at that. The old look appeared and it has been like that ever since. That was about a week and a half ago.

Yes once I switched to Mozilla and got back in I reverted straight back to the old look. I doubt many people will stick to the new look, it's rather oddly designed.

Oh well....no more photographs at this group from me.
Photobucket has shifted me to the new format again, but this time it won't allow me to shift back, no matter how many times I click on the link to return to the old look.
But even worse....ALL images I upload now have a heap more stuff in the URL, and ProBoards being what they are (finicky about URLs) are refusing to display photographs with the new URL layout from Photobucket. The same images will display in groups hosted by MSN or any of the other messageboard forum hosting services I have anything to do with, but not at ProBoards.
So I guess I've posted my last new photographs to this group. I guess I could post in here what I REALLY feel, but it would involve a string of four-letter forbidden words which might upset some people, so I won't post any more about it. I have, however, sent an email to Photobucket telling them exactly what I think of their poxy new format. I guess if they take offence at that, they'll excommunicate me.

I've just changed back to the old format and haven't have any problems so far. I've been arbitrarily switched to the new format about six times now. On each of the previous times, I have switched myself back. However, this time it won't allow me to switch myself back. The link comes up and I click on it, then the little dialogue box opens wanting to know why I wish to switch back, then after I've given the reason and hit the button to switch back, the page refreshes and I go straight back to the new format. I'm running five different browsers on both of my laptops and it is the same with all five browsers on both computers. And all of those browsers are the latest versions, with all updates installed. At work this morning, I logged into Photobucket via KiwiRail's computer network, and exactly the same thing occured. With the new format for Photobucket, it inserts a lot of additional code into the URL for each image you have stored there, and ProBoards refuse to display images with that code in the URL. If you remove that additional code, then Photobucket won't even allow you to source the image file.
Note that the new URL format will display images in messageboard forums hosted by SMF, Yuku and virtually every other hosting service I access. It is only ProBoards which are difficult over certain URLs, including the new Photobucket format.

I've changed back to the old one too. Why do they want to alter a system that has worked for so well for so long?

Seems to work using Firefox on Win7... The new look has a 'Google' feel to it.

New format URL test: i137.photobucket.com/albums/q228/flyjoe180/Humour/seating-chart-funny.jpg is actually the old format URL. The new one (which they foistered on me) has a /beta/ where /albums/ is in that example, plus it has an additional 14-digit alpha-numeric code immediately before .jpg plus another 12-digit alpha-numeric code after .jpg and although you can remove the last alpha numeric code from the URL and still have the image file download from Photobucket, removing the 14-digit code blocks the download and it appears to be that 14-digit code which ProBoards' system cannot handle.
Anyway, I've just (about three hours ago) received a reply from someone at Photobucket to my rather caustic email. It states that they are sorry I am unhappy with the new format and that they will change me back to the old format within 24 hours. I will await with baited breath to see if they are true to their word.

I copied that {IMG} code direct from the new page though? Weird!

I just updated the Link Options (under the image links on the right of the page for an image) and tried again, no issues to report. Guess you are having bad luck kiwithrottlejockey? BTW your avatar works still, is that hosted by PB?

It beats me why Photobucket are messing with things.
It wasn't broke, so why try to fix something that doesn't need fixing?
All they are achieving is to create a heap of problems for long-established users and piss people off.
However one thing....they were true to their word in their reply to my email and they have switched me back to the old format. I wonder for how long, though. They seem determined to push this new look on everybody.

Be interesting to see what the ratio of "don't like" and "like" is for users. I didn't actually mind the new look but not if I can't bloody post photos properly!

Photobucket seems to be up to their old tricks again, just starng to revive my stash thread and I find that photos are dissapearing. The last few I loaded of the Hastings are missing with just the final one in the "library", can't find the others in the group and some I have loaded since show up in the preview and I can't get them across to the "library" whichmeans no codes are allocated. Can't see anywhere to revert to the old format so that looks like the end of photo posting from me

My account has a message saying they are changing to an all new Photobucket version in X amount of days and I can jump the queue and change now. Maybe it'll be an improvement?

Just found that the images have been placed radomly through the album. i can't find out how to sort them into order, anybody any ideas on how to do that? That has never happened to me, so far. Pretty odd. That happened to me when they switched me to the beta version of their new format several weeks ago and I couldn't find a way to get back to the old format. After numerous attempts to sort things out, I emailed them for help but was ignored. After several attempts to get a reply from them, I eventually got extremely pissed off and sent them a very blunt email (including liberal use of the f word...yeah, I know, I shouldn't lose my rag, but they really hacked me off) and suddenly they replied to me, then within 24 hours switched me back to the old format. I will be extremely pissed off if I discover after being permanently changed to the new look that everything is in random order again, particularly as some of my albums have more than a thousand image files in them. In fact, I will be seriously looking for somewhere else to host my images if that crap starts again.
