Thanks for filling in the blank Marty. What a great day that was, eh. I really appreciate being invited and also all the work you and the team put into it. Ready to go... I will leave the flying shots to others, I didn't take any with the stills camera. I'm still buzzing about this awesome experience.

Bloody hell Kerry, you have added a slug to my lip! ;D
It is a fake photoshop guys for those who're wondering. Kerry has been calling me Commanda Rif Raf since I sat in the Spitfire! haha
Sorry Peter, we were on a tight schedule to get home. I would have liked to pop around and see you. in fact I thought you'd possibly be there at the event.

I am told Dave that you do wear one in the privacy of your own room plus a helmet, goggles and that you make Merlin like noises...but my lips are sealed.

It is scurrilous rubbish, except for the Merlin noises.
Anyway, back to the thread. Any better photos Kerry?

Not exactly perfect weather, it was raining when we arrived but luckily cleared up, but it was very windy. The two display pilots did very well in the crosswind and gusty conditions.
At the completion of his display, as planned, Sean flew directly back to Ohakea. Then Doug flew his display and landed. My mate Mike said he heard a young boy ask his parents, "Did the other one crash?" because he hadn't seen it land. ;D

Hi Dave - ahh ... Had no idea you were there. You've managed to snap my wife in one of your photos above( sitting by the fence in the grass).... I was too busy snapping as many photos as I could. Next time!!
As for the dark edges on the photos - its just a bit of photoshop... I'm just a camera hack but like to pull everything back so the photos look like something from the era of the aircraft .... Love the low contrast/ desaturated drab look. I'm certainly not a mark on some of the incredibly talented photographers we have amongst us on these forums.
Great spectacle seeing them though - that's for sure!
