Hey Guys. Just now I saw what appeared to be an NH90 flying not far from my house. I can't positively identify it as it was just out of sight. So, I'm just wondering, are any of them flying yet? Cheers, Brad

What I mean is that it wasn't close enough to see any details, but it was close enough to see that it was a helicopter of some sort. It was defintely an NH90 though. I just flew over my house, but I didn't get to my camera in time.

Dave, I live in a little place called Halcombe, about 20mins or so North of Palmy. Get heaps of RNZAF stuff over here, and as I write this an Airtrainer is flying overhead.

I just received this from Ray Deerness: "I can confirm, the was an NH90 out flying today. Don Colway saw one yesterday over Gonville and Castlecliff, I'm at Wanganui East. They sort of sound like a SeaKing. At first I thought it was a DC4 but it was too slow. On sounds, the Augusta's are very quiet and you have to be an enthusiast to notice them."

I seethe media have their 100% accuracy meter running. According to the Wanganui Chronicle the NH90s are Norwegian helos. I suppose they at least got the right hemisphere, and Norway is part of NATO.

Norwegian blue... lovely plumage.... It is dead, deceased, karked it, bereft of life, passed away, bought the farm, gone to meet it's maker, lifeless, liquidated, mortified, no more, not existing, offed, out of one's misery, passed away, perished, pushing up daisies, reposing, resting in peace, spiritless, stiff, unanimated, wasted.

I . On sounds, the Augusta's ; Spelling Police... ;D Agusta not Augusta. Bear in mind, consistent (correct) spelling helps with searching the forum, so there is a point to getting it right.

Also bear in mind I was quoting, not writing.
