Three soldiers are in hospital after an accident during a military exercise on the South Island's west coast last night.
A New Zealand Defence Force spokesman confirmed this morning that two army Pinzgauer vehicles crashed about 15km from Charleston, 26 km south of Westport, at 6.20pm.
