I don't understand why they run around desecrating Christian and Jewish graves when it was those "pigs" who freed them from the Axis powers. Because they aren't educated or enlightened or tolerant enough to know better. I'm yet to be convinced this represents the attitude of the majority of Libyans, especially the ones who know their history.

Most of the local Arabs in places like Libya, Algeria and Tunisia did not want the Allied forces in their country in WWII either, as much as they didn't want the Germans. They simply wanted to get on with their life. Many did, and simply ignored the war. They certainly never saw the Allies as great welcomed saviours. These days the young ones probably have little to no knowledge of the war as it was of little consequence to their forebears.
The Arabs were well known for wandering across Allied (and probably german too) airfields if they happened to cross a path that they'd used for centuries. No worries about aeroplanes landing or taking off, carry on regardless, I see nothing. That's a fact.
