A question I have is why does the LRDG truck have "Inspected" stencilled onto the bonnet?

Why did they call that little plane a Virus?
Flying around the world in that would not be much fun. A bit like a Dick Smith adventure, but it must be dodgy over long sea flights.
I thought there had been an Afrika Korps battle in Cambridge?

Minor correction Errol, that Pipistrel is a locally based example, but the "Green Light" aircraft (registration SS-PEZ) left Tauranga for South America the same day.

I thought there had been an Afrika Korps battle in Cambridge? I assume that it sounds better in Slovenia. Developed from the Sinus :-0 Worst bit is Chile -> Easter Island, I think! There was the Afrika Korps camp/unit, but the battle wasn't set there, I think. Fairly minor equipment changes for Sicily or Italy.

I don't mean this year, a couple of years back I am sure there was a desert display. Maybe it didn't happen in the end? It was certainly talked about in the planning stages.

When looking for my DHC Beaver photos from this show, I realised that I'd never uploaded several photos, including some of aircraft that I haven't seen since! I also quickly re-edited in my current software and using my somewhat improved skills. DH 82A Tiger Moth ZK-AUE by Errol Cavit, on Flickr Speedstar hijinks! by Errol Cavit, on Flickr
