I directed the Lost Airmen of Buchenwald documentary, featuring Kiwi Phil Lamason, which was warmly received on this forum a few months ago. So hello again! I just posted a short video featuring one of the other airmen from that film - a P-38 pilot named Joe Moser - about him getting to fly in a P-38 again for the first time after being shot down over France in 1944. I figured this would be good for this board!

Great video indeed-sure looked pretty cramped for the poor old fella wedged into the rear of the cockpit! Didnt look like he minded one bit tho!

Wow how lucky is this vet! Very nice vid lostairmendirector! He was a lil cramped up aye Jonsey but at least the aircraft was'nt modified but i thought a jump seat these days could be a little lower given modern avionics, if that is what is under him and if the P-38 had jump seat capability (correct me if i'm wrong, i admit not knowing much on the P-38). With the U.S being so litigious* i think it is great that the F.A.A alows it better than being a WWII spitfire pilot not being allowed into the cockpit incase of harm.

I'd say that's part of the wing structure he is sitting on. If you follow the top of the wing it goes through the rear of the cockpit behind the pilot's seat. Great video I love seeing veterans getting the chance to fly in a WW2 type again.
