Does anyone know if Bob Scott, who was an RNZAF pilot who i think flew in WWII, and then flew Mossies after the war, and then went to James Aviation as a pilot, and held the first ever NZ helicopter licence, is still alive? If so, where is he? Is he still in Rotorua?

Ah, I have been reliably informed that Bob is no longer with us.

There used to be two Scott's in Wellington in the mid 60s, Bob and Jack, both former pilots and I think now, both deceased.

I think there were several Bob Scott's, pilots, in the RNZAF in WWII. It's a common name and can get confusing.

Bob Scott from Rotorua died several years ago. He was my training pilot for ag aviation, along with a lot of other James pilots.

Hi, I worked with Bob in Rotorua in the late 1970's. He died a few years ago now. His son is Brad Scott, works as a vulcanologist.
