Ykato, keep your eyes and camera at the ready. The MU is staying with Phillips and very soon getting a new livery with decals to compete with lifeflights J32 decals. Rumour is ,along the lines of a heartbeat rythum like that seen on a ECU machine? Sometime this week apparently.

It was one of the many itinerant aircraft visiting Ardmore for the Mosquito airshow at the weekend, first time I've seen it in a long time.

It flashed by underneath us as we were waiting to be cleared back into Hamilton control zone on the way home from the Mosquito Spectacular. It was really honking along. Our C172 felt like it was standing still...

What impressed me more is that we were at 1700 feet and they were well below us!

I LIKE IT!! And have always been a fan of the MU-2. Flew in one once from Palmy to Rotorua in the '80s. Was that Air Central? This one's much better looking in that scheme

Is this MU-2 going to be based in Hamilton? Yes it's housed in the Philips/Westpac Rescue Hangar/office on Ingram Rd on the western side of the airport.
