I was reading in the latest Fly Past an article about one of three Zero's restored in Russia and flying in the States. It said one has been brought by a New Zealand owner and has been loaned to a museum in Alaska!
I have this same magazine, September FlyPast, and it quite clearly states in the Zero article it was bought by a New Zealand owner and then leased to the Alaskan museum.
Does anyone know who this is? I am very curious, but as they were not named in the article I expect it will be revealed when they are comfortable to do so. Very exciting, would this be the first airworthy genuine Zero owned by a Kiwi? It would be nice to have it come here permanently in the future.
