they should, if they are coming up for repaint, repaint some of ones we have left in some of the older schemes before they all leave our shores.

That one of ZK-NAQ is actually pretty rare.
It is ZK-NAQ/1, which was only here from November 1975 to June 1976 and then went to Guiness Peat Aviation who leased it to Nigerian Airways as EI-BCC. ZK-NAQ/2 lasted a lot longer, four and a half years, but was only with ANZ not NAC.

Might be one of the volcanoes in the Taupo volcanic zone. I was thinking Southern Alps but the morpology suggests a volcanic cone and the cloud or mist shows cold air drainage so on that flimsy basis I would suggest aircraft is heading north in the early morning. Also in the cone there appears to be plug and if you look at the snow cover note it is on the "southern" (left hand side of photo) side of feature so that suggests a recent wind driven snow event.

Not the central north Island volcanoes - the arrangement of other peaks is all wrong. My thoughts - somewhere in Washington State USA before delivery - they have some pretty awesome mountains (including volcanoes) in that area....

For all we know, it could be part of the Southern Alps. I don't know if that last livery were painted in the USA on any of our 737's.

That photo of ZK-NAQ is interesting. It appears that the lower fuselage is painted boeing grey. Does anyone know whether only this aircraft was painted like that?
I'm building a model of ZK-NAC in the orange/red and will be doing it with a natrual metal lower fuselage, but any info on NAQ would be welcome.
regards George
