Hi Dave, this is a picture of Jack Roberts taken about the same time.I had a look at a large James collection with someone else and he didn't think it was Jack. Is it possible its Bruce Oliver,he joined James around mid '55,he did about 500 hours in Tigers with James, was also listed as an operations manager and I've even seen him listed as involved with the DC-3.He left James in '57 for Adastra?. Jack Roberts.

Can anyone identify a James Aviation pilot with the surname Jervis? He visited CAC in September 1959 to test the Ceres.
OK, I just noticed Frank Jarvis further up this page... should have searched with both spellings!

Jarvis' regular mount in the early 60s was Fletcher ZK-BOK.

His regular mount a little earlier than this was a Fleet Air Arm Corsair I believe.

I figure were up to about 1955 so far,and obviously James went on until around early 1980's.It would be good to see some more, especially as I know another companies large collection that was given to a public repositary of artifacts has been lost by them.Cheers

So happy to see so many photo's of my grandfather "Robert(Bob) Scott". May have to post some up i have myself. Surprised that no mention of Bob being first helicopter pilot in NZ or one of NZ's first turbo prop tests pilots cropped up.

Bob Used to pilot one of the first fletchers as a test pilot. But this photo is 1967 The very first turbine powered Fletcher FU-1060, first flight 19 July 1967. It was based in Rotorua with Bob Scott before moving to Gisborne where it spent most of it's working life.
