The latest Wings Over New Zealand Show features an interview with Brian Farrell, who had a long career in aviation in the RNZAF and then in CAA. He served as an Airframes Technician on Vampires and Canberras (the latter in Singapore), and then cross-trained in engines and trained up on the Iroquois maintenance in the USA. He then returned to New Zealand and was appointed as the RNZAF's first ever Helicopter Crewman in June 1966 when the Iroquois entered service. He also served on Bristol Freighters and Andovers, and spent some time in Vietnam during the war there, and much more. My apologies for the background noise which seems to have been caused by resonance on the table which the microphone was sitting on, though hopefully it does not detract from the actual interview. www.cambridgeairforce.org.nz/WONZ_Show.html#Ep29_Brian_Farrell
