The event is on the 29th, not the 28th.

I've seen these being made and the work is very impressive.I also believe he will happily make more and the cost is much less than a real one, and no dramas about restricted weapons, etc. Just what you need to hang in the lounge!

Awesome work Dave, could not be there for the roll out due to being a lazy bugger on the Gold Coast and first time I have been on the net for a few days. The aircraft looks great and thanks for sharing the photos. Will be up at Ardmore for another look once we get home next weekend.

Looking great, and those replica weapons are a nice touch. It makes me wonder about what is inside the wings of the Currawong P40.
I like how Avspecs have gone to the trouble of "pre-shading" some of the panel lines on the Spitfire so that it will look more realistic when it is finished...

Sorry Dave, other things have been distracting me of late. Thankyou so very much for these pics, especially of NH799. I think the foreign forums get a bigger reaction as they are exposed to the Mosquito project a lot less often than we are?

Interesting to see the replica photos, it certainly will be a well kitted out machine. I've never really thought about how much the nose guns in particular add to the seriously mean look of the Mosquito in anger. Something still to be added to the Motat example perhaps in the future.

Regarding the guns, Andy pointed out to me yesterday how important it is to fit them because if they were not there then the cockpit cabin becomes pressurised and the aerodynamic flow is all buggered up. They will also make the aircraft look right too.

Hmm, you Kiwis obviously have very different gun laws to Oz. Here replica firearms are treated the same as "real firearms", and machine guns are not "firearms" they are "prohibited weapons". Simmo.

These are 1/1 scale non functioning replicas(and can't be made to),the only damage they could do would be if you dropped one on your foot! I remember the HARS guy telling me about the machine guns on the Cat even though they were replicas they were treated the same as an actual weapon and this was due to the gun laws over there. Q is what sort of gun license would you need there if you had a tank?

I stand to be corrected, but wasn't the weight of the armament taken into account in establishing the weight and balance? In which case as those cannon are presumably not real, is any weight added to the nose al la Vampire?
Great photo's Dave, and I've only just noticed them hence my tardiness in saying how good it is to see them, and how much I'm looking forward to the 29th.
I haven't booked any flights yet because my technical adviser on such things [my grandson!] tells me the cheapest flights don't appear this far out from September! If he's wrong I'll simply kill him!
