Looked plenty wide enough to me, the Lancaster made easy work of it and the photos might make it look more narrow than it actually is.

Great photos Gav. For such a green looking airfield, those bigger machines seem to kick up a lot of dust. In saying that, Virginia Beach, is it sandy?

Ykato, thanks for that "skiesmag.com" article. Of the countless news items I've read on KA114, this is one of the most accurate which is always good to see.

Ykato, thanks for that "skiesmag.com" article. Of the countless news items I've read on KA114, this is one of the most accurate which is always good to see. I read the first few paras, thought 'this is very good, what is the source'? Saw it was an aviation pub, and written by JDK. No surprise then! Sent via Proboards Android App

Have been in Canada for over a week and its time to go home today. The video above sums it up really and that British formation was amazing to see and here.
Two media flight were held here and only four people got to fly and three from Canada flew twice which was great for them. I was the fourth person that flew and was on the second flight in the B-25 camera ship and alongside were Mossie, Lancaster, as well as a pair of Spitfires and Hurricanes.
The best thing about that flight for me was that I finally got the pure head on photos I had been after since day one and it was great that Warren was in the Mosquito for that flight. Not only that Keith flew in the Lancaster on that flight so we had Kiwis in three aeroplanes. Buffalo Jo from the TV series Ice Pilots was also on board the Lancaster.
So this trip ends my association with that wonderful aeroplane. Always wanted to follow it to its first two overseas air shows and am so pleased I did.
