That was the sales video that was made up by Ernst & Young in 2001 after the ACF was disbanded. I gave them a lot of the HUD footage for it.

Mate.......they are awesome, thanks for sharing these stunning images!
Was about to add this clip I found about refuelling and especially a long trip to Hawaii. In 1988 watched "Kiwi Red" steal the Bicentennial airshow at RAAF Richmond with their plugged barrel roll, amazing!
PS be super keen to see more of your pic's Ned???

Absolutely cracker shots Ned! I think I remember a couple of these from Pacific Wings. Can someone please provide names for these folks? In 1988 watched "Kiwi Red" steal the Bicentennial airshow at RAAF Richmond with their plugged barrel roll, amazing! One of the videos on repeat in our household when I was a kid - moreso when I was old enough to operate the VCR - was the Australian Bicentennial Air Show video. I was always excited and proud when Kiwi Red came on. Imagine my surprise and delight when the internet came along and informed me their display was considered one of the best at the event.

The footage I shot at the same time I photographed the above pic's, pretty sure some time in the early 90's, would be most grateful if some one had a stab at to what year this may have been? Thank you.......

Great video of A-4s at Nowra. I'm sure 'Skyhawkdon' will know the date of that display. That footage reminded me of how much my two sons and I enjoyed the Skyhawk displays during the 80s and 90s. Dale also tells great stories of the A-4s 'attacking' the Canterbury F421 when he was serving in the Navy. Thank you for posting.

Just re-watched the above clip got me thinking about the arrestor chutes, if this is the correct name? I'm guessing they had a service life and could be reused? Wondering how many times they could be used? Also found one of the two seaters featured in the clip, NZ6251 had a long life, one of the machines that end up with Draken, ended her life crashing with no loss of life in 2016, forty seven years of service is not a bad innings.
Static aircraft in clip. NZ6251 TA-4K 14094 Bu157914. N/A 16/06/70 First flight from Douglas factory at Long Beach on 05 December 1969. Arrived at Auckland aboard the helicopter carrier USS Okinawa on 17 May 1970 and towed by road to Whenuapai. Test flown at Whenuapai on 23 May 1970 before being ferried to No.75 Squadron, Ohakea. To No.2 Squadron, Ohakea in 1985. Canopy inadvertently jettisoned in flight on 05 February 1997. Repaired and returned to service on 14 July of that year. Flown from Ohakea to storage at Woodbourne on 19 October 2001. On arrival it had completed 6558.0 airframe hours. Sold to Draken International in 2012 and registered in the USA as N140EM on 01 March 2013. 18 August 2016 Crashed on approach to Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas USA. The sole occupant, a civilian pilot, ejected with minor injuries. Aircraft was destroyed.
The single seater, while the number isn't real clear it looks like she is "13." NZ6213 A-4G A-4K 13736 Bu154905 N13-154905 07/84 Formerly A-4G N13-154905 with Royal Australian Navy, coded 884. First flight from Douglas factory at Long Beach on 26 July 1967. RAN Service history can be found here Withdrawn from RAN service on 30 June 1984. Ferried from Nowra to Ohakea on 12 July 1984. Converted to A-4K by RNZAF. To No.2 Squadron, Nowra in 2001. Was hooked up to NZ6211 just prior to its crash on 16 February 2001. Broke away and was undamaged. Took part in the farewell flyover of the North Island to commemorate the closure of the RNZAF Air Combat Force during the morning of 11 December 2001. Took part in the farewell flyover of the South Island to commemorate the closure of the RNZAF Air Combat Force during the afternoon of 11 December 2001. Took part in the final flypast at Ohakea to commemorate the disbandment of the RNZAF Air Combat Force on 13 December 2001. Flown from Ohakea to storage at Woodbourne on 18 December 2001. The other flyer in the clip "54" resides at Wigram. NZ6254 TA-4K 14097 Bu157917. N/A 16/06/70 First flight from Douglas factory at Long Beach on 21 February 1970.
