I'm sorry, but $40 for a calendar is just bloody insane. Even if it had naked ladies all over it, I'd still baulk at the price! ;D I understand people need to cover their costs and to make money, etc, but I don't really understand how this calendar can be so expensive, especially when an equally awesome calendar like Ghost is only $30 in NZ.

I think you'll find it's printed so that when you cut it up next year you can frame the photos, that probably means a heavier grade of paper/board.
I've also been thinking about this event, [which has nothing to do with the cost of the calender, I know!], but in the last fifty years or so I can't recall any event in NZ which has focused the worlds attention [in aviation circles at least] more. It is a stunning example of Kiwi 'can do', and the world now knows it! It reminds me of when NZ won the Americas' Cup on a shoestring of sponsorship, when the US entry had some of the biggest industrial giants, including Boeing, backing them

Craig, the calendar is limited run, exclusive, and self published. It is also extremely nicely made, and is a real credit to the small team who have put it together. It's not the only calendar on sale in NZ for that price either - but it's the best. I really recommend it.
It will be a great consolation for New Zealanders after the Mosquito leaves NZ.

I'm sorry, but $40 for a calendar is just bloody insane. I think all our adult kids (4/6) (and I include myself in that) are all getting Xmas gifts of around that value if not more. I bought two - one to give to an elder gent mate (a pom!) and one for myself to skite at work with!! So I consider it a gift to myself and one with great memories (and more to come in Masterton). Apart from which, Avspecs have done a great job to put NZ on the map with KA114 (many o'seas know already...) so I think we are also supporting Kiwi Made in the true sense Apart from which, as has already been pointed out, the high quality images can be framed and hung once the calendar is passed its used by date I have my copies now and am very proud! Note, buying off their website shop will actually give them more in the pocket vs buying TradeMe too. jm2c...
