For those thinking of going best to book accommodation quickly, I just booked a couple of rooms in Harden which is an hour or so from Temora and they were the last ones.
If any 'forumites' will be there let me know and we can catch up for a coffee !

I live in Mascot (Sydney Airport)and drive to Canberra and back four days a week for work, I know them both pretty well,it's roughly a three and a half hour drive.If you need any help mapping out your trip, feel free to ask. Cheers, always good to know what the real driving times are! |

Is there still any interest in "forumites" attending this airshow? I will be going down from QLD (Beerwah) Thursday over night Tamworth I think. Then overnight about 1 hour away. If there is going to be a behind the scenes "forumite" tour then I would like to be in that too.. Bob Howard

Pete Anderson (mustangpa) has sadly had a massive technical issue since the forum changed to the V5 upgrade. He cannot see the forum anymore on his computer. It comes out really strange like basic black and white text, like a document in Microsoft Notepad. We have tried and tried to solve this issue, I have been stumped, the Proboards gurus were stumped by it, his work IT people were unable to solve it and when I consulted my mate who's a computer expert his suggestions failed too. No-one can work out why.
I have signed into his account with his password which he gave me, and on my PC it is fine. Proboards found the same thing. So it is his computer alone, not his account. But what is causing it is unknown.
he currently only has his work computer which is the problem, and no way to access the net at home right now. He's very depressed about it as he loves the forum and cannot access it. If anyone around NSW has a spare old computer you can lend or give Pete to get him back on here I'm sure he'd be really appreciative. Or if you can help solve the problem.
It's a real shame, I miss him on the forum, and of course he's always been a big support of the forum, promoting us at airshows he commentates at across NZ and Aussie.

That's a hell of a lot better than the 40+ it was at the last show.
Can't wait to go. It's going to be a cracker. I'll be wearing my website t-shirt with the logo in my signature below and will be wandering around in general admission. Always up for a chat.

Have been here for a few days with great weather and lots to see.
The Merlin powered Kittyhawk arrived yesterday with a short display on arrival and it sounded lovely.
Ryan and I watched the display and only ever hearing Allison powered Kittyhawks it was a little bit unusual.
Have met up with a few forum members already which was good.
Was involved with a photo shoot last night, we used the HARS Caribou as photo plane and in around an hour we rotated through The Boomerang, Mustang, F86 Sabre, Hudson, two Spitfires, and two F18 Hornets.
Flying with Spitfire TB863 was a dream come true as that aeroplane started my involvement with Warbirds so the whole thing has now come full circle. Buggered if I know what is next!!!
Hope to see a few more forum members over the next few days and from what I can see we are in for a real treat.

Hope to see you there, guys. Wishing I was there from about Wednesday through to Sunday but Saturday will have to suffice. Lucky to be going as it is with little Paddy arriving two weeks before his Oct 21 due date.
Very excited to finally see a few aircraft I either haven't seen before or haven't seen for years.

Just a quick note before I get on the plane at Canberra. Great show! I'll say more while I am hanging around SYD. Failed at connecting with many people, but was with JDK, Ryan & Tracy, and talked with Ando.
