Absolutely excellent! I'll just lend Dave a hand by expanding on who these people are: 02:09 Greg Tyrrell - from Martin Jetpack who had a stand at the show. 04:40 Bill Reid - Owner and restorer of Avro Anson Mk.1 ZK-RRA18:23 Warren Denholm - main man at AvSpecs, restorers of Mosquito KA114 and many others. Includes some details of how the Mossie is getting to Virginia Beach at the end of the segment. 28:35 Dave Phillips - NZ based Test and Display Pilot (Mosquito, Anson, Tiger Moth etc) 31:40 Brett Emeny - Aerobatic pilot, owns DH Vampire, Yak-52 34:40 Peter Anderson - Aussie airshow commentator (and fan of this forum!) 44:02 Tom Williams - Airshow Manager of Wings Over Wairarapa Photos of the show start at here. Sound quality (always a concern with on-the-spot coverage like this) is fine, with only a couple of minutes of real issues, mainly when Peter Anderson is saying how great the forum is. Passionate, knowledgeable people talking about their favourite subjects! Well done Dave, especially for having it available so soon after the event.

Thanks very much Errol, I appreciate this fine feedback and the help. I was in a rush to get this thread up.
Yes, Peter was very enthusiastic about the forum, a pity that the flipping wind came in at that moment, haha. I'll try to catch him at Omaka and grab another interview there. ;D
Sadly, I had another great interview to go into this episode which was recorded with another enthusiastic forum member, Strikemaster owner Brett Nicholls. The wind noise on that recording however (done on the windy Friday) was just too much to even hear either of us in the end. I'm gutted about that. I hope he will be willing to do a redo at a later stage.

Absolutely wonderful episode, Dave! If it's not too difficult please do record further WONZS episodes at airshows.
Highlights for me have to be Bill Reid - especially talking about how he got Hudson 049, Dave Phillips, and Peter "mustang51" Anderson, despite the wind. His enthusiasm for the forum, and the Kiwi circuit, really comes through here.
Thanks again for another great episode. I'm listening right now for the second time!

Yeah well done Dave, great initiative, enjoyed it thoroughly, especially the impromptu and extemporaneous nature of it. Cheers!

Thoroughly enjoyable thanks Dave, I've been at home unwell so have had time to tune in the iPad whilst resting in bed and listen to around six (so far) of the Wings over NZ shows. Keep up the great work mate!

Fantastic job Dave. Peter's comments about the forum were very positive and forthright. Interesting to get a different perspective about kiwi air shows compared to others overseas too.
His experience that he described of monitoring the Mossies progress on the day of the first flight mirrored mine, although I was surreptitiously keeping track while at work. My response though to the updates and photos accompanying the flight were very similar.

I was a bit slow thinking everyone was talking about Warren's original interview with Dave (last year) until I realised something didn't addup and clicked this link! Thanks for doing this Dave and like Zac said, more Airshow interviews. (As long as you can find the time and actually watch the displays!!)

Thanks for the very positive feedback, I have also had some very nice emails from others who have listened too.
I will definitely try to cover more airshows, that has always been the intention when I started the WONZ Show actually and I had originally planned to do an episode at the Ardmore Mosquito launch but I was so busy with the video camera it never happened. I think the three day shows lend itself much better, there's more time to do the audio recordings and to watch/film the air displays.
If I can get to Omaka I will be doing one there, that was actually in the planning pipeline before I even knew I was going to Masterton.
