Mud was not the only obstacle to overcome as members of the New Zealand Defence Force took to the hills in Dunedin for the Twin Peaks Battle Tab over the weekend.

they traversed the steep bush-covered slopes of the 668-metre high Flagstaff Hill and 739m Swampy Summit twice.

Not an insignificant distance! Well done to the winners.

That's a half marathon with full kit on and traversing large hills (small mountains...) and in atrocious conditions!
