I know not everyone follows Face Book, that platform seems to be quite popular now and my Classic Aircraft Photography page has over 20,000 likes which is good. Normally post a photo or two there every day and will start adding them to this thread as I go. Some of the photos may have appeared on the forum but may have been lost in threads from a long time ago. Have been a forum member for quite a while and haven't been contributing as much as I should and this thread will contain a wide variety of aircraft so hopefully the thread never gets old!!! You never know what might appear so stay tuned. Don't forget to let me know if there are any aircraft types you may want to see. Cheers Gavin     |

Very cool. Does the 262 operate from grass? Would love to have seen the LA9 fly. Was it flying on one of your visits?

The 262 only operates from sealed runways, a great looking aeroplane in the air and having seen one in the flesh I could only imagine what it must have been like flying a Mustang and having a couple of these come screaming past!!!  As for the La-9 it has not flown since it left NZ. One problem it has is that those big guns could not be exported with the aeroplane so some weight and balance issues to sort out before it flies.  |
