A great day indeed and thanks to Ralph for his help in getting a prime location for photos. Thanks go to all the other people involved with the day making it something special to remember. Just one from me to start with of the two Strikemasters. I will process more and upload as the week progresses. Cheers, Colin

I guess there could have been 10 Harvards there, 15 the squadron hack was still back at Ohakea. There could have been 14 there... Thats how many are airworthy in nz out of the total of 17 flying around. The other five with couldn't make it were, 76 ENB, 66 ENE, 96 END, 7660 XSA and N4269P. The remaining three airframes are 33 SGQ (without engine), 82 USM (political) and of course NZ1015 under maintenance.

Thanks for the details - I saw 8 or 9 down at Hood as well in January - very impressed with the numbers of these proud remnants still flying!!! I remember hearing them over Christchurch skies in the 70's and 80's when I was at University... left an unforgettable memory.

I did like the fact that a couple of Yak-52s infiltrated the Harvard ranks at one point.

TIC ... they have some airspeed though... I heard one photographer saying "That's good, they are both on the wing so I can edit them out later" Personally, I thought they added colour and Russia were enemies of the German advance as well. They all put on a great show!

Wow Gavin, those are superb photos! And thanks Colin for the neat shot of the two Blunties forming the Sharp End of the flightline.

Bloody good shots, well framed too!! A lovely day wasn't it - a good breeze straight down the runway, planes could take off easily, it kept all the spectators comfortable from the heat and burning rays of the sun - except our faces!

Cheers everyone. So, was the 'plane by the photographers to discourage pilots from cutting the corner?

Hi All, thanks for the great photos. I haven't organised mine yet, but was a great day. Did anyone catch the winning number for the program draw?

Only a month late with this (far too many things like work and Christmas shopping getting in the way)..... A fantastic day, although I did have withdrawal symptoms from not shooting enough stills thanks to shooting video most of the time

Great video! Loved the Harvards taxying out at the beginning then taxying back in at the end, nice bookends!
