RAAF# on their FB page have just posted up a short article and a photo regarding the visit to Lord Howe Island by the C-27J Spartan. A nice "loadmaster's view out of the ramp" picture of part of Lord Howe. #Correction on the Defence Australia FB page using #AusAirForce as the tag.
Missed an Airvan yesterday VH-PGU, came via Auckland direct to Lord Howe Island,(8.14 hours) then on to Archerfeild, Brisbane (3.19 hours) no pic's sorry busy at work. Hopefully a few ferries will start to get off the ground soon?

About to get a flying visitor of a different type next couple of days, Tropical Cyclone "Seth" heading our way. Looks like lots of heavy rain and hopefully not too much wind, fingers crossed!
Weather Situation Tropical Cyclone "Seth" lies over the Coral Sea and is forecast to move south today, and then move slowly west on Monday. This system is expected to bring wet and windy conditions, as well as large waves, for the coming days as the system lingers to the northwest and a ridge of high pressure persists across the southern Tasman Sea. There is an increased risk of localised coastal erosion for northeast exposed beaches as the large waves coincide with spring tides on Monday.
