From what I can see, if I read things correct, she didn't leave Norfolk this afternoon?

Look at the size of those flaps! Beautiful sight all polished up. I do not know the skin material, but if Alclad they will have to be careful to not polish away the cladding layer, as happened to one of 42 squadrons VIP Daks.

Interested to hear more Ando, so is this the military designation of the type? On the subject of military and we may as well go for a Lockheed again, RAAF C130J came out today for training, touch and goes. The side on view really gives you a look at the stretched fuselage, will be interesting to see how they compare to the new J models the RNZAF are getting soonish. Even better if they landed one out here. Here's the underside of a RNZAF H........... ............compared to a RAAF J..

Spoke to a RAAF chap yesterday A mate of mine, Eamon Hamilton, is a public relations officer with the RAAF (I'm unsure of his rank) and just so happened to be at Lord Howe recently with a Herc! I wonder...

Spoke to a RAAF chap yesterday A mate of mine, Eamon Hamilton, is a public relations officer with the RAAF (I'm unsure of his rank) and just so happened to be at Lord Howe recently with a Herc! I wonder... The reason the Herc was here, the 80th anniversary of the first medical evacuation by a Catalina in 1942, we had a function on the island for this event. I have a bus tour business on the island and took a few people for a mini tour, showed them the Catalina wreck so you never know?

That "onesie" cover is a product of Barsal Aircraft Covers based at Te Kowhai airfield. They have patterns for just about every common light aircraft type in New Zealand. They also custom make them if you have a unique machine that needs a cover. Sorry for the small advertisement but the owners are friends of mine and they do quality work. Also it looks like EOF is heading to Aussie to take part in the William Creek Air Safari. Sydney Social Flying Air Safari Page.Updates are being posted to the Kiwi Pilots group page on Facebook.

Thanks so much for the detail on those two previous folks. Was told a tail dragger was due, anticipated something else, this Maule currently in the air between Lord Howe and Norfolk Island’s on her way eventually to NZ. Looking forward to a few more tail draggers in the not too distant future hopefully?? I shoot a bit of video at the same time I take photos, here's the Maule that came through a little while back, has anyone spotted her or know where she end up?
