Finally home after my wee New Zealand sojourn, one of my chores while in Sydney to convert a whole pile of old video footage to digital. Back in the day I used to concentrate more on video than stills, opposite these days. Have posted some of these clips elsewhere, please excuse my average comments, feel free to correct or comment anything that is said? Also any history or anicdokes welcomed?
Harvard across the ditch I'm going for around 2003, thanks Zac.
Ex AFC Zero replica on her way to OZ, I'm guessing early to mid 2000's.
Another ex AFC machine again heading west, I do have some footage of her when she went east as an American somewhere?
Would love to date these two, interesting recently at Tauranga Classic Flyers bumped into the exact same Devon, does anyone know what she was up to seem to remember she went to OZ for a bit?
Average little clip of the HARS Connie when she came out a few years back.
"And now for something completely different" mix of an early Fletcher, Cresco and Cresco jumpship, since been told the Fletcher sadly crashed both the others now back in NZ. Interesting the Pink jumpship has Cresco 750 written on the wing, I was always lead to believe this version were called XL 750s?

"ferried Kaitaia-Norfolk Island-Lord Howe Island-Brisbane QLD 04/10/2000" Another ex AFC machine again heading west, I do have some footage of her when she went east as an American somewhere? Unfortunately I don't have the ferry date but "To Randal W McFarlane, Brisbane QLD 06/05/1999, to VH-TBM with Randal W McFarlane/Malitone Pty Ltd 25/06/1999, finished in tri-colour USN markings as 309/Georgia Peach" Return home - "arrived Ohakea by air 24/02/2012" Interesting the Pink jumpship has Cresco 750 written on the wing, I was always lead to believe this version were called XL 750s? The XL750/P-750 XSTOL (link) is a larger development of the Cresco. I believe the 750 in "Cresco 750" refers to the horsepower of the engine - ZK-JOH in your video is/was definitely a Cresco (link).

Couple more old video clips, Navajo won a London to Christchurch air race in 1987, from memory a Tiger Moth was his prise! The Widgeon I think this may be the one that currently resides in a hangar at Ardmore in a dismantled state?
GAF N22 stretched Nomad, was on a ferry flight to NZ, does anyone know what became of her?
Interesting to make the comparison between the standard below and the stretched version above, this RAAF/RAA Nomad had been to New Zealand on an exercise.
Finally a few CT4 Airtrainers, Thai Air Force, Ansett training school and a recent ex RNZAF job, all of this lot headed west.

Looks like the N-24 Nomad went to Air Safaris and then went back to Gippsland in Australia in 2020 to serve as a prototype for a proposed new version which didn't eventuate.

ZK Rat was heading to Australia, to take part in the air race around Australia. The pilot was Mat Wakelin.

RAT was at Ardmore today - has it completed its time in Australia, or returned early? Interesting to note it's registered to "Union Airways of NZ Ltd"!

I believe Matt's air race partner was Rob Mackley. The race is been and gone and the aircraft is back. I am guessing the registration is Rob's company, since he has a Lockheed 10a in Union Airways livery.

So busy old airport out in the Tasman this arvo, RPT Qantas Dash 8 went US, so overnighting. RAAF Hercules brought out a some gas as the regular ship had a quaranteen issue and couldn’t meet it’s regular sailing day. Royal Flying Doctors Kingair, we don’t see that often as we usually get New South Wales Air Ambulances for medical evacuations.
