Planecrazy, I believe you are due for a couple of microlight visitors today/tomorrow. Three flew KeriKeri to Norfolk yesterday and scheduled for Norfolk to Lord Howe today. Would be keen to see if you can catch them. Cheers
Thanks for the heads up fellas, will keep my ears and eyes up, blowing a gale though 25kts from the SW so strong head wind from Norfolk to Lord Howe and nasty cross wind landing as well!

The time of the year when the SWer's fire up, I'm a kiteboarder we love this time of the year! Looks like they will get a short break Thursday, I'd say the southern Alps will get some decent snow over the next week or so!

Thanks Bob, don't think it will be today, currently 28 to 33kts from the SW at the northern end of the airstrip, this wind direction is around 90 degress off the runway. Tricky for a light aeroplane, if it stays there I don't even think the Qantas dash 8 will operate today, will be kite boarding though, yipee!
Yeah we had a good day checking out the aviation highlights of the island, nice fellas always admire people who take on such adventures, flying their home made machines long distances over water, great stuff!
