Yes, at last some closure. It must have been a shock for the fishermen.

In this modern world of arse-covering and "correct procedure" it irks me the phrasing and pussyfooting language used. They dredged up a plane that had a clearly visible redgo with human remains inside. It's not "likely" the missing plane in question. It IS the plane. What are the alternatives? An identical replica placed there by Weta Workshops as a bad out of season April Fools joke? Bloody hell. What happened to common sense?

That's modern reporting for you, by using that language they can't be accused of mis-reporting or be held responsible if they get a fact wrong- nothing there is presented as a fact.
Also 'like' the comments of it being the 'only' missing aircraft in NZ, we all know that's not true in the greater sense either, but why would anyone check such things, it's been spoken by someone with AUTHORITY in their job title.

Tell me this. Why do Radio NZ send a reporter out to the southern end of GBI to make a report on poor telephone connection in the dark when the wreckage was already back at Auckland?

To add "drama". News has become the "drama business." Fact.

Radio New Zealand has been the one provider of news that I think upholds the proper standards. I hope it is not sinking into the mindless abyss with all its competitors.
