RAF groundcrew paint the invasion stripes and assist FAA groundcrew replace the entire tailplane and rudder, re-using the horizontal stabilizer ailerons. Sub/Lt R. Hales, who flew the aircraft on 6th June spotting targets for the Allied Fleet's bombardment of Normandy's coastal defences, inspects the arrestor hook. A Royal Navy Wren has arrived with his orders ... 1/48 Special Hobby Seafire Mk III, RAF, RN personnel from various sources, Pro-modeller RAF Starter Cart. Miniart provided the fencing and pole for a scratch built (and functional) windsock. Acrylic painted tarmac base in an old picture frame. AeroMaster decals also provided much information about the aircraft. More photos on Flickr, though I must add that I find dioramas difficult to photograph and it was a bit dusty when I did so. The whole build is on www.kiwimodeller.comwww.kiwimodeller.com/index.php/forum/d-day/29242-1-48-seafire-l-iii-885-squadron-lee-on-solentCheers Wally.

Super diorama Wally. Nicely posed and I like the figures. Typical woman though, that could be home renovation as well.
